I don't like the word for word passage lifting. I don't think thats something unintentional. She was either out of creativity and desperate, or she simply didn't have the goods to produce. She is so wrong for that.
This is so much like all the English and history classes I took as an undergrad. There was always someone who plagerized because they didn't make any time to do the work.
Since this happened twice, she really can't claim it wasn't on purpose. I think she made a lot of money to produce a novel. Her publisher should get their money back.

Yes, she squandered a peach of a deal. Writers really want those types of deal. It gives a writer steady income, a publisher, and some staying power.
She totally pissed on that. I don't feel sorry for her at all.
