Storming Cats & Dogs

Yesterday, while at work, it stormed cats and dogs. The wind was on the furious side and could force rain under one's umbrella. Needless to say I was like I hope it calms down because there is no way I'm driving in those conditions. Of course it did, and on my way home there are always road diva who have to speed in wet conditions. I had to be extra defensive in driving. I know I can't stop on a dime, and I loath a dumb ass who drives so quick to cut in front or weave through traffic. I'm trying to get home, not get mangled over some moron's lack of control.

That's it...the minute I get rich, I'm hiring a professional driver for you. With all the crazy drivers in your neck of the woods, I gotta protect my friend somehow!

I understand how you feel Stacy. I have to drive the interstate to and from work everyday, and it's worst. Some people just drive like they are the only one's on the road. I just pray that I get to and from my destinations safe. That's all you can do. And try to watch out for the other drivers.

I will do the interstate only when its not raining. Every time I've done the interstate in the rain there is an accident, and I am extremely uncomfortable. I also tend to drive like an old man in a rainstorm.

Well, I live where it snows, so rain is almost nothing. lol I mean, these people can't even drive in sunshine and dry roads. lol Also, I almost have to go the interstate to get to work. There is a way to go without taking the highway, but I would have to get up much earlier than I do now. And I get up early enough as is. I think getting up at 4:00am is my limit. :o)

I know you're used to it, but to me that sounds like a nightmare. I hate when it rains. I also hate when people fail to use common sense.

On those rare occasions when it snowed in Charleston, people were wrecking left and right. Why? They sped through the ice & snow.

Roads are ices and what do people do? Drive like the road is dry?

If it ever storms and I am at home, I will wait until the storm subsides until I drive. I refuse to go anywhere in bad weather.

Believe it or not, even the people here who have driven in bad weather all their lives, still can't drive in it. Sometimes it's because they go to fast. Sometimes it's just because the roads are actually too bad to drive. On those days I ride with my husband or we stay home.

Now that's scary. I hate bad weather.
